Recent Experience
- Preparing a discretionary trust Will to protect a disabled beneficiary’s entitlement, and not impact any means tested benefits.
- Administering an estate with multiple foreign assets in different jurisdictions and considering the subsequent Inheritance Tax implications on the estate.
- Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney for an immobile client, therefore conducting a home visit to obtain instructions and sign documents.
- Preparation of a Declaration of Trust for an unmarried couple each with children from previous relationships, purchasing a property in unequal shares. Subsequently preparing Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney alongside this transaction so that both sides of the family are considered.
- Discussing with clients the implications of the removal of family members from inheriting under their Wills following an unfortunate relationship breakdown.
